MENTAL HEALTH PROGRAMME
“For to be free is not merely to cast off one’s chains, but to live in a way that respects and enhances the freedom for others.”
– Nelson Mandela
Modern times is witnessing a paradigm shift in the global psyche. From the negativities and traumas being experiences in the post COVID times, to the physical, mental and emotional toxicities experienced by the employees, employers and the workplace as a collective; the cumulative impact of the ongoing pandemic, additional extra economic burdens, climate and ecological crisis and other similar factors have exponentially increased the demand for mental health support. In total, poor mental health was estimated to cost the world economy approximately $2·5 trillion per year in poor health and reduced productivity in 2020, a cost projected to rise to $6 trillion by 2030. With the rapid changes, and the personal and professional traumas, pressures and high-stress situations that the world is going through at a regular basis, is leading to a highly constraint sense of expression for employees; more so because these traumas and pressures are going undetected and untreated. Some persistent issues are:
- Productivity loss
- Increased Absenteeism
- Job abandonment
- Subordination
- Toxic Work Environment
- Higher Attrition
- Job burnout
- Anxiety & Depression
